Difficulties for hiking and cycling
Hiking
Difficulty:
Yellow:
Trail is in the valley (flat) and is accessible with normal shoes and also with a baby carriage.,
Red:
Trail is easily accessible with sturdy shoes (good soles).
Blau:
Sturdy shoes as well as competency on alpine terrain and fearlessness of heights are required.
Calculation basis for hiking time:
Per hour: 4 km (2.5 mi) in the flats, 350 m (1,150 ft) of altitude uphill, 500 m (1,650 ft) downhill. The shorter duration is divided by two and added to the longer duration.
Example:
Distance 6 km (3.7 mi), altitude difference 175 m (575 ft).
Result: 1.5 hours for the distance plus the half of 30 minutes for the altitude difference (15 minutes) results in 1 hour and 45 minutes for the route in total.
